State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Sunday on Old Turnpike Road in Morris Township. As a result, a 15-year-old Allport girl was issued a citation.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a trespassing incident that occurred July 15 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Clearfield. During the incident, a 27-year-old Munson woman was allegedly on the property after having been banned in another state in recent years. The woman was also cited for a traffic violation.
- Police received a report about a possible burglary that occurred Aug. 6 on the Clearfield-Glen Richey Highway. According to police, it was learned that a 41-year-old Glen Richey man entered the victim’s garage and removed several tools and related items without permission. Then, police say he loaded the items, which are valued at approximately $5,000, into his truck and fled when he was confronted by the homeowner. The investigation continues.
- Police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Monday at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Clearfield. During the incident, a woman was allegedly observed by an asset protection manager concealing items on her person, then under-ringing several items at the self-checkout before leaving the store. Police say she was located with the stolen items in the parking area, and has been housed in county jail.
Curwensville Borough
- Police are investigating an incident of fraud on Filbert Street. As a result, police would like to remind residents to protect their financial information and not to provide it to unknown persons over the phone.
- Police were called in reference to a child custody issue along Fredricka Avenue.
- Police assisted the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office with an incident involving a known female along Rustic Road and Curwensville-Grampian Highway.
- Police responded to a reported verbal argument at a Schofield Street residence. Upon arrival, two females were located, but there wasn’t an active argument.
- Police received a report about an injured cat in the area of Water and Filbert streets. The owners were on-scene and related the animal was fine; police also felt the cat was safe.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person at a Schofield Street address. Upon arrival, it was learned that the incident had occurred about 15 minutes prior, and the person had been knocking on the caller’s door. However, there wasn’t anyone located in the area.
- Police received a report about a stolen bike from a High Street resident
- Police responded to a four-wheeler crash, which involved a small child. Upon arrival, it was learned there wasn’t any other vehicles involved, and the child wasn’t traveling on a roadway. No injuries were reported as a result.
- Police responded to a reported domestic dispute at an Eastview Drive address. Upon arrival, it was learned two juvenile brothers were involved in the incident.
- Police assisted Clearfield Jefferson Crisis personnel with attempting to serve a 302 petition. However, the individual wasn’t at home.
- Police received a complaint about a Mastiff dog that was on a Schofield Street property. Police would like to advise animal owners to keep their animals on their own property.
- Police are investigating a reported animal cruelty case, which involves a cat the owner believes was poisoned. Animal control is also assisting with this investigation.
