State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a burglary July 26 at a Curwensville-Tyrone Highway residence in Knox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a lawn mower battery and damaged a man door. The investigating continues.
- State police conducted impaired driving enforcement Saturday and Sunday on state Route 879 in Clearfield County. According to state police, a total of 125 motorists were checked, resulting in one drug-related DUI arrest; one felony warrant service; four DUI contacts and two drug-related arrests. It also resulted in three summary traffic arrests and 27 warnings for traffic-related offenses.
Lawrence Township
- Police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in an alcohol-related DUI on Sunday along South Second Street near the Family Dollar store in Clearfield. According to police, a 40-year-old St. Marys man was found to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages. After he provided a legal blood sample, he was released to a sober person. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred on Daisy Street on Friday. According to police, a traffic complaint was received on Woodland Road, and the described vehicle was located at the Clearfield Mall. Contact was made with the occupants and it was found a passenger – 23-year-old Tyler Gummo of Winburne – had outstanding warrants; when he was taken into custody, police say he was found with controlled substances and paraphernalia. The driver – a 20-year-old Grassflat man – was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance following field sobriety tests. He was taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw. Gummo was lodged in county jail on warrants and the driver for a probation violation. Charges are currently pending against both males at this time.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about trespassing Wednesday on Robinson Street. However, it was learned the male in question had left prior to police arrival on-scene.
- Police responded to a reported vehicle-versus-bicycle crash Wednesday at the intersection of Shaffer Road and Beaver Drive. Upon arrival, it was found the vehicle had left the scene. No injuries were reported, and the investigation continues at this time.
- Police responded to a reported hit-and-run crash Wednesday that involved a parked vehicle on East Park Avenue. No further information was provided.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an infant Wednesday on Knarr Street. The baby had been crying for some time, the caller reported. However, upon arrival, police found the baby was being cared for and happy.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance Wednesday on East Second Avenue. According to police, it was found to involve a mother and juvenile daughter who had been taken for mental health assistance.
- Police responded to a reported two-vehicle crash Thursday in the area of North Brady Street and East Park Avenue. According to police, one person was transported to the Penn Highlands Hospital. Both vehicles required towing from the scene; the driver who was at fault was issued a citation.
- On Thursday police reported a Coke Hill male dialed 911 and asked for assistance. Upon arrival, it was found he was intoxicated and not in need of assistance.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication Thursday from East DuBois Avenue. Police were provided with information related to a possible suspect, and the investigation continues at this time.
- Police conducted a traffic stop Thursday on South Brady Street and two people were arrested for drug-related crimes. The adult male and juvenile female were allegedly in possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia.
- Police responded to a reported three-vehicle crash Friday in the area of First Street and DuBois Avenue. No injuries were reported, and the vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police, along with fire personnel, responded to a reported fuel spill Friday at the intersection of Beaver Drive and Division Street.

- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female Saturday in the area of the bowling alley. Upon arrival, it was found she was OK.
- On Saturday police were requested to check the welfare of a woman who was possibly living on Knarr Street. An officer checked the address, but there was no evidence she still lived there.
- Police received a report about loud music being played in a vehicle Saturday on East Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police were requested to assist emergency personnel Saturday with a male found bleeding from his head at Sheetz.
- Police were requested Saturday to assist emergency personnel with gaining entry to the Gray Foundation.
- Later Saturday police were requested to again check the welfare of the female near the bowling alley. She had returned to the area but was reportedly under the influence. She was subsequently arrested by the Sandy Township police for this violation.
- Police responded to a reported two-vehicle crash Saturday on Parkway Drive. No injuries occurred and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- On Saturday police received a report about a domestic disturbance and possible stolen tools on Sherman Avenue. However, police say there was insufficient information to further investigate the theft, and there wasn’t any cause to further investigate the domestic.
- Police received a report about a retail theft Saturday at the Family Dollar Store. The investigation continues at this time.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a West Long Avenue male on Saturday. He was found to be OK, according to the report.
