Rescue Workers to Free Driver After Tractor-Trailer Hits House in Lawrence Township

 

CLEARFIELD – Rescue operations are currently under way to free a driver who crashed a tractor-trailer into a house in Lawrence township.

According to reports from GANT News correspondents on the scene, the tractor-trailer struck a house at the bottom of Rockton Mountain on Route 322 on Race Street adjacent to the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.

The tractor-trailer struck the side of the house, then became embedded in the front of the house. Multiple fire departments are presently on-scene attempting to free the unidentified driver. Residents have reported power outages in the area.

Anyone who may be looking to attend events at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds are asked to use alternate routes.

The extent of the damage to the house and the driver’s injuries are unknown at this time. Further information will be posted as it’s made available.
