CLEARFIELD – A major paving project is currently under way at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
At Monday night’s school board meeting, Superintendent Terry Struble reported it began earlier that day, and over the duration of the project, it will limit access to the junior-senior high school campus.
According to district information, beginning Wednesday and continuing through Friday, the campus will only be open to summer employees, summer food and fall sports programs and other activities currently being held there.
For the duration of the project, the campus’ main entrance will be shut down. All traffic must use Waroquier Lane, and people are urged to use extreme caution while traveling on this roadway.
Monday was the last day for use of the faculty and student parking lot and other parking areas adjacent to the school’s oval.
Beginning Tuesday and continuing through Friday, all employees and visitors will be required to park behind the school building, in the lot beside the technology department or in the large lot beside the sports stadium.
Struble said the paving project’s schedule is of course weather dependent and subject to change. The district is asking for everyone’s cooperation, so that the project can be completed in a timely manner.
Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to contact the district’s business office at 814-765-5511.
