Wanted Erie Man Found with Slew of Drugs in DuBois, Police Say

DUBOIS – A wanted Erie man is in jail after having been found in possession of a slew of drugs, over $800 in cash and paraphernalia, DuBois City police say.

The incident occurred at 12:43 a.m. Saturday at the East Side Sports Bar, located at 318 W. DuBois Ave., according to a report issued on duboispolice.com.

Contact was made with two individuals inside a vehicle, and an officer identified a male passenger as 36-year-old Charles Best of Erie, Pa.

Best related he had an active warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department. He was subsequently removed from the vehicle and detained.

He also told the officer he had drugs inside the vehicle, and he was found to have $818 in U.S. Currency on his person. A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered:

Best was transported to the Clearfield County Jail and incarcerated on the warrant. Police say additional charges will be filed against Best for this incident.
