Friday, July 12
DiscoverE: Outdoor Explorers:
3 p.m. – Environmental Education Classroom
Age Requirement: 6-8 years-old
Join us as we learn about some of the incredibly interesting animals that inhabit our Earth, and especially Pennsylvania. Games, crafts and other activities are a part of this summer-long program series. Check at the Park Office for more info.
Is That Skunk?:
8:30 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
It’s one smell that we probably all can identify. But, what else do we know about skunks and how they are adapted to survive? Come learn more about this often-avoided resident of our forests.
Saturday, July 13
Timber Rattlesnake:
3 p.m. – Beach House steps
Some folks never want to see them. Others see them as symbols of wilderness. Come see versions of Timber rattlesnakes that can’t hurt us and learn why some of the things people believe about them are not true.
Orienteering Basics:
5 p.m. – outside Park Office
Know anyone who would be completely lost without their GPS. Well before electronics, navigation was a skill to be learned with tools such as a map and a compass. Come learn the skills of using a compass to find your way.
Beaver Tale:
8:30 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
Only humans manipulate the world around them more than the beaver. Learn more about the ways that they live and survive, as well as get to see the world from a beaver’s point-of-view.

High Country Arts and Crafts Fair
S.B. Elliott State Park, five miles south of Parker Dam on state Route 153
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Annual event sponsored by the Clearfield Elks Lodge featuring: arts and crafts vendors, demonstrations, entertainment, food, shuttles to and from the parking area and much more. Food, music and plenty of great arts and crafts await.
