2019 PA Wilds Annual Dinner & Awards to be Held Nov. 7
DUBOIS – Nominations for the 2019 PA Wilds Champion Awards are being accepted through 5 p.m. July 1.
The prestigious PA Wilds Champion Awards are given out annually to individuals, groups, organizations, communities and businesses that in the last year have made significant contributions to help grow and sustainably develop the outdoor recreation economy and nature tourism in the Pennsylvania Wilds in a way that creates jobs, diversifies local economies, inspires stewardship and improves quality of life.
There are nine award categories, including: Outstanding Leader, Great Places, Conservation Stewardship (both individual and organization), Great Design, Artisan of the Year, Business of the Year, Inspiring Youth Award, Outstanding Event and Best Brand Ambassador.

Awards will be given and celebrated at the 2019 PA Wilds Annual Dinner & Awards, to be held Thursday, Nov. 7, at the DuBois Country Club, 10 Lakeside Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
Hosted by the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship Inc. (PA Wilds Center) in coordination with the PA Wilds Planning Team, the event is the premier networking opportunity in the Pennsylvania Wilds, where state and regional representatives, leaders and citizens come together to talk about how nature and heritage tourism efforts are positively impacting area communities.
The keynote speaker and theme for the dinner will be announced later this year.
“The PA Wilds initiative is and has always been a people movement,” said Ta Enos, executive director of the PA Wilds Center. “The PA Wilds champions represent the very best of our rural communities each year; their enthusiasm is contagious and inspiring.”
