Road Improvement Work Starts Wednesday in Centre/Clinton Counties

BELLEFONTE – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Monday that work to improve more than 22 miles of roadway in Centre and Clinton counties is set to start Wednesday, June 5.

Overall work will include milling, installation of ADA compliant ramps and retaining wall updates on sections of fourteen routes in Centre County and one route in Clinton County. This work will improve roadway quality and extend the life of the roadway surface.

Work in Centre County will begin on Route 64 from Route 1010 (Jacob Road) to the Clinton County line. Traffic will be limited to a single lane while crews begin milling and resurfacing. Traffic control will be provided by flaggers in the roadway.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution. Short travel delays should be expected, and drivers should be alert for slow moving and stopped vehicles through the work zone.

There is no work scheduled in Clinton County this week. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
