State police at DuBois
- State police responded to a report of a non-fatal, opioid overdose Sunday on Route 219 in Washington Township. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred Friday in the area of Route 219 and Tannery Road in Washington Township. During a traffic stop, a trooper allegedly detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana and a 42-year-old Brockway man was taken into custody following field sobriety testing. He was transported to the hospital for a blood test, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday on West Liberty Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, state police say there was unwanted physical contact between two juveniles. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about a tobacco sale to a minor Saturday at the Wal-Mart store in Young Township. According to state police, as part of a controlled buy, a 15-year-old boy was used by the Pennsylvania Department of Health to buy the product at approximately 1:25 p.m. The cashier allegedly bypassed the system after the boy presented the tobacco product without a valid driver’s license. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of access device fraud/theft that occurred March 29 at the Uni-Mart store in Hyde. According to police, a 37-year-old Falls Creek woman was at the victim’s residence and took her H&R Block Emerald Card without permission. She allegedly made multiple transactions at the store.
- Police received a report about an incident of retail theft May 24 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Clearfield. During the incident, a 40-year-old Curwensville man allegedly opened a package of bleach tablets, then walked by the point-of-sale with a handful without paying for them. He was escorted from the store by officers, and charges were filed against him.
DuBois City
- On Friday police were called after eggs were thrown at a couple of vehicles in the 300 block of Pifer Street. Officers checked the area but were unable to located anyone.
- On Friday police received a report about the theft of a scooter that occurred outside a business in the 100 block of North Brady Street. It was described as being a Mad Gear Scooter that was black and green in color with black wheels. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Friday police were called after someone kicked in the door of a residence in the 200 block of East Washington Avenue. The homeowner wasn’t able to provide a physical description of the suspect(s), and police checked the area with negative results.
- Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash Saturday in the Sheetz parking lot. No injuries occurred as a result, and police assisted with the exchange of information. Both vehicles were subsequently driven from the scene.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle Saturday in the 500 block of West Weber Avenue. During the incident, someone allegedly put a cracked egg inside the gas cap.
- Police received a report about kids who were pushing other kids out onto the street Saturday in the 300 block of Maple Avenue. However, police were unable to locate anyone.
- On Saturday police received a report about two males trying to enter a restroom while children were inside at a location in the 300 block of Maple Avenue. Upon arrival, police made contact with the children but were unable to locate the males in question.
