TYRONE – Leaders at Tyrone Regional Health Network (TRHN)/Tyrone Hospital have announced that Anna Marie Anna, RN, BSN, NE-BC has been appointed acting chief executive officer (CEO) at Tyrone Regional Health Network (TRHN)/Tyrone Hospital.
Anna has served as chief nursing officer at TRHN/Tyrone Hospital for the past three years. She has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry with more than 20 of those years serving in executive and management roles.
Anna has a Master’s degree in health administration from Ohio University. She is also a board-certified nursing executive, credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Prior to joining TRHN, she held leadership positions at Conemaugh Health System, Clearfield Hospital and Golden Living Center.
Anna succeeds Joseph Peluso who served as CEO at TRHN/Tyrone Hospital for the past three years.
Kelly Wike, president of the TRHN/Tyrone Hospital board of directors, said a leadership transition was in order since Mr. Peluso concluded his contract. “We appreciate Mr. Peluso’s leadership and hard work during his tenure at TRHN. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
“We are fortunate to have internal talent to draw upon moving forward,” said Wike. “Mrs. Anna is an experienced executive with established working relationships with our staff, physicians and the community.
“This will allow for a smooth transition of leadership and strong support for our organization as we move forward.”
The change in Anna’s role led to changes in nursing leadership at Tyrone Hospital.
Beth Dietrick, RN, who served as assistant director of nursing, has been promoted to interim chief nursing officer (CNO).
Heather Lane, RN, who served as manager of the Medical Surgical/ICU units and Clinical Education, has been promoted to interim assistant director of Nursing and Clinical Education.
