State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Saturday on the Old Erie Pike in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly cut down and took several cherry trees from a Philipsburg man’s property. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Friday on Gillingham Road in Girard Township. During the incident, someone allegedly smashed in the rear window of a facility belonging to the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging. Damage is estimated at $250 and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an erratic driver in the area of Nichols Street. However, police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male along Front Street. Police found that he was OK.
- Police received a report about a couple who was engaged in an altercation on Market Street. Upon arrival, police found it was verbal in nature. However, police say a female had an active warrant but was able to resolve it on-scene.
- Police received a report about wires and a pole that were down in the area of Williams and Merrill streets. Upon arrival, police found they weren’t being utilized and fire personnel were able to remove the wires from the roadway.
- Police encountered a suspicious male along South Fourth Street. It was found he was there to wait for his friend to return.
- Police handled a traffic complaint along East Market Street.
- Police received a report about a cable line that had become dislodged from a residence and was lying across the roadway on Spruce Street.
- Police reported that an intoxicated female was found staggering along East Market Street. She was found to have an active arrest warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. She was subsequently transported to county jail.
- Police handled several minor motor vehicle crashes over the weekend.
- Police arrested a male, located along Williams Street, after he was found to have several warrants. He was subsequently transported to the county jail.
- Police responded to a noise complaint along Daisy Street. Police advised individuals of the complaint and they agreed to keep the noise down.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred Saturday in the parking lot of Sheetz along state Route 879. During a traffic stop, a 30-year-old Clearfield man was allegedly under the influence of unknown controlled substances and he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the hospital for a legal blood draw and released to a sober person. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred Friday on Hogback Road. According to police, a parked vehicle was located and occupied by a 19-year-old Woodland man and a 19-year-old Clearfield woman. It was apparent both were “hot-boxing” the vehicle and under the influence. A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded two glass bongs, one glass pipe, two marijuana grinders containing the drug and a bag of marijuana. Police say the woman was released to a sober person, and the man was taken for a blood draw prior to his release. Charges are currently pending against both individuals at this time.
- On March 26, police received information from Clearfield County Probation about a known 21-year-old Philipsburg woman. According to police, she had been placed on a monitoring/tracking device as a condition of her probation but had failed to report. Charges are currently pending at this time.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment Friday on West Washington Avenue. During the incident, someone allegedly sent the victims threatening text messages. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle crash Friday on Beaver Drive. No injuries were reported on-scene, and both vehicles were drivable. Police assisted with the exchange of information, and cleared the scene.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment Friday in the 100 block of Olive Avenue. The victim told police a known female walked by her and started to direct derogatory comments toward her and her son. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a female trying to enter vehicles Friday on North Main Street. Upon arrival, it was found she was in need of medical attention; she was taken to the hospital for an evaluation and treatment.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft of medication that occurred sometime between March 26 and Friday. A male told police his medications were locked in his bedroom, and his bedroom key was missing, as well. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an unruly patient Saturday at the Penn Highlands emergency room. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the male who had calmed down. Police ensured everything was OK, then cleared the scene.
- Police received a noise complaint Saturday at a house in the 200 block of West Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival, police made contact with the resident who apologized and stated they’d keep the noise down.
- Police received a report about an assault Saturday in the 600 block of Liberty Boulevard. Upon arrival, police made contact with a male who stated another male had walked up to his vehicle, grabbed him by his throat and started to choke him. This, he said, caused him to punch the male as a self-defense measure. Police interviewed the other male who claimed the first male was the aggressor and had just started to punch him in the face. Multiple other witnesses were interviewed regarding the incident, which remains under investigation at this time with charges pending.
- Police received a report about an assault Saturday at a residence in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue. During interviews with police, both stated that they were punched by the other. Police say they were separated for the evening; neither party wanted to file charges.
