DuBois Council to Seek Bids for S. Highland St. Property

DUBOIS – DuBois City officials will seek bids once again for a city-owned property, located at 17 S. Highland St.

The decision was made following information from DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio at Monday night’s council meeting.

Officials have been presented with an offer, and this will be the fourth time bids have been accepted for the property, Suplizio said.

Solicitor Toni Cherry suggested that council “play it safe” and advertise for bids. She didn’t believe there would be other bids based upon history.

“Better safe than sorry,” echoed Councilman Randy Schmidt.

Also, at the meeting, George Heidelberg and Patrick J. Reilly Jr. were reappointed to the Hospital Authority.  They are both being appointed to four-year terms.
