Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash Wednesday in the parking lot at Penn Highlands Clearfield. According to police, a vehicle operated by Margaret Swatsworth, 73, of Curwensville entered the lot and impacted a legally parked vehicle belonging to Andrea Dudurich, 29, of Curwensville. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about suspicious activity Tuesday at an Arminta Street address. According to police, a witness observed two people go inside with flashlights. The home had been vacated due to a fire. Upon arrival, police made contact with the family who was gathering belongings. Police noted they also released two dogs to the family from the city kennel.
- Police received a report about a vehicle that was stuck in the car wash Tuesday in the 400 block of West DuBois Avenue. The fire department arrived on-scene and assisted with opening the car wash’s doors, so the driver could leave.
- On Tuesday police received a report about a dog – possibly a Doberman – in the 400 block of West DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the dog but did observe a vehicle with one in the backseat. It was later learned the dog’s owner had arrived and captured it.
- On Tuesday police were requested to contact a female regarding a male threatening to shoot her dogs. When police spoke with her, she said she lets her dogs out daily without securing them on a leash, and she doesn’t clean up after them in neighboring yards. Police also met with the neighbor’s relative who said the dogs were defeating on the porch, front yard and sidewalk. While on-scene, police detected an odor of feces and observed piles around the porch. As a result, police returned to the female’s residence and advised her she needed to clean up her dogs’ toys and feces in the neighboring yard. She was also warned that if her dogs left her property, she would be cited for violations.
