Clearfield Borough
- Police are investigating the alleged theft of a purse that was removed from a vehicle while it was parked along East Market Street.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with a medical emergency along South Fourth Street. The patient was transported to the hospital for treatment.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an incident at a local motel.
- Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle along Turnpike Avenue.
- Police responded to a report of a gas leak along East Locust Street. The fire department and gas company also responded to the scene.
- Police responded to an East Sixth Street address to check the welfare of a male. Police located the male and found him to be OK.
- Police received a report about a male inside a residence on Weaver Street. Upon arrival, police did not locate anyone inside the residence.
Lawrence Township
- Police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a drug violation Tuesday in the area of the Skate Alley on South Second Street. Upon speaking with the driver, 29-year-old Derek McGovern of Hyde, it was found he had a suspended license and a warrant through the department. He was subsequently taken into custody and found in possession of a clear glass pipe with burnt residue that was from suspected methamphetamine use. McGovern was housed in county jail on the warrant, with charges pending for the drug violation.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about two people on a resident’s porch Sunday in the 400 block of Maple Avenue. They were knocking on the door, and the resident knew them. While en route, officers were advised they’d left and were heading toward East Park Avenue; they were located near the magistrate’s office on Maple Avenue. When police spoke with them, they claimed they were being harassed by the resident and wanted to know what the problem was. This, police advised, was not a wise decision, and both were directed to leave each other alone.
- While in the area of West Scribner Avenue and North Jared Street Sunday, police observed a male who appeared to be staggering. He was stopped and allegedly displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to his residence and released to his grandpa; then, police cleared the incident.
- On Sunday police received a report about the alleged theft of a laptop from a Knarr Street residence. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
