Sandy Supers Reorganize

DUBOIS – The Sandy Township board of supervisors held its reorganizational meeting for 2019 on Monday night.

The supervisors voted to maintain the current positions, as filled a year ago. However, Supervisor Kevin Salandra opposed.

The township’s municipal authority’s appointed board members will continue to be the supervisors, as well.

The authority will continue its normal operations until a decision is made regarding its future. Salandra noted that there hasn’t been any progress on a possible joint authority of Sandy Township and DuBois City.

Also, the supervisors voted to oppose 13 tax assessment appeals, including one filed by Lowe’s.
