Plans Under Way for Treasure Lake’s Winterfest

TREASURE LAKE – Plans are currently under way for Winterfest 2019 at Treasure Lake in DuBois.

The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. Jan. 12. It’s open to the public, and there will be activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Registration will open for the Polar Plunge at 10:45 a.m., with the plunge to follow at 11 a.m.

The Sled Derby, being held on the hill by Lakeview Lodge, will feature sleds constructed of cardboard and tape.  Registration will be at 2 p.m. for ages 9 years and under and 2:30 p.m. for ages 10 and over.

Sub-Zero Winter Games will include a snowball toss, ice fishing, a snowman dart game, a lollipop tree, a penguin game and much more.

People are also invited to get “Bold & Cold” and register for the Chili & Chowder cook-off. The contest deadline is Jan. 10.

Then, go inside and warm up with music and karaoke at the Pirate’s Cove from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.  There will be a mountain pie bar and hot chocolate station from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
