Conklin Mourns Passing of Former Centre County Commissioner Sue Mascolo

CENTRE COUNTY – State Rep. Scott Conklin, D-Centre, has expressed his grief upon hearing of the passing of former Centre County Commissioner Sue Mascolo.

“She was a great public servant, a wonderful friend and I was so honored to work with her,” Conklin said.

In addition to being a public leader, Mascolo was a long-time friend and employee of Conklin’s.

She worked as a legislative aide to former state Rep. Lynn Herman, was a legislative assistant in Conklin’s State College office and served on the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Board.

Throughout her life, she had the opportunity to interact with thousands of Centre County residents through her work in state and local government.

Mascolo dedicated herself to being a hands-on leader, assisting local residents with their many different needs and requests.

She was a passionate and dedicated advocate for the Centre region and cared intensely about the wellbeing of its people and its communities. Conklin said she will be deeply missed.
