Curwensville Borough Approves 2019 Budget With No Tax Increase

CURWENSVILLE – Residents in Curwensville Borough will not see a tax increase for 2019.

At Monday’s meeting, the Curwensville Borough Council voted to approve its budget for 2019, holding taxes at 27 mills.

According to the budget, total income is listed as $787,911. Income to the borough includes state shared revenue, local government payments, department earnings, public safety, animal control fees, culture-recreation fees, the reserve fund and miscellaneous revenue.

The budget lists total expenses at $677,429.82. These expenses include general government general administration, public safety, public works, culture and recreation and community development.
