CLEARFIELD – Volunteers have started preparations for another division of the Clearfield Area United Way’s annual campaign.
Volunteer Greg Dixon recently met with Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital President Rhonda Halstead and Human Resources Coordinator Mary McCullough.
He provided an explanation on the CAUW’s 23 local member health and human service agencies that are helped every day in eastern, southern and central Clearfield County.
He explained that the CAUW has 75 campaign volunteers who work “tirelessly” to make sure a difference is made through these agencies.
Dixon said their efforts make programs, such as Reading Ripples and Jeans for Teens, possible. They also work behind the scenes to collect items and donate to those in need.
Anyone who would like to make a tax-deductible donation to the annual campaign can mail it to: CAUW, 18 N. Second St., P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830.
In addition, donations can be made online via the Clearfield Area United Way’s official Web site: www.clearfieldareaunitedway.org.
Campaign volunteers would like to thank area donors for their support of their member agencies and programs in the upcoming-year.
