Prevent Suicide PA to Host Educational Workshops at PSU DuBois

DUBOIS – Prevent Suicide PA will host a pair of LOSS Team educational workshops in early November at Penn State DuBois.

LOSS Team is a team of first responders and trained survivors who would go to the scenes of suicides to disseminate information about resources and be the installation of hope for the newly bereaved.

The primary goal of this Active Postvention Model is to let suicide survivors know that resources exist as soon as possible following the death.

This training is available to individuals who have medical, mental health, emergency services or law enforcement backgrounds.

If interested, please contact Mary Brown of the Clearfield-Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team immediately at 814-371-5100, x330 or by e-mail at mbrown@1istoomany.org.
