Schedule of Events Released for CRC Fall Festival

CLEARFIELD – Fall festivities will fill the streets of beautiful downtown Clearfield during the eighth annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Hosted by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC), the event is being held in conjunction with the Clearfield Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K and Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show.

That day fall events kick off in the morning with the run/walk through the streets downtown. Day-off registration will take place from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.; the race is set to get under way at 8:30 a.m.

New to this year’s event will be the “Pumpkin Patch Sprint” for ages 3 – 10 years. The cost to enter is $5 and each child will receive a T-shirt with a goodie bag while supplies last.

This will not be a timed event.  For more information about the race events, please visit the official CRC Web site: www.discoverclearfield.com.

Clearfield’s downtown fall festival will follow from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. This admission-free, family-friendly event will fill Market, Locust and Third streets and will feature something for everyone.

Attendees can enjoy fall foods while mingling with over 100 artisans whose works range from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art.

Many downtown businesses will be open to offer fall sales, and there will be live entertainment at the Clearfield County Courthouse Plaza.

Local country artist Joe Quick will perform from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and then Guiternia students and Temptation Alley will follow from 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Kids will be able to “Chalk-Up Clearfield” and design their own sidewalk square in the kid’s area. There will also be plenty of games, face painting and fall activities for kids throughout the day.

The Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade will take place at 11 a.m. in the Express Cafe parking lot.  Pets must be leashed and current on vaccines to participate.

Animals shouldn’t be forced to wear costumes that cause any discomfort or injury to them. Pet owners are invited to come in costume, as well.

Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the parade. Participation is free and all pets will receive treats.

The fifth annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.  It will take place in and around the Third Street parking lot with registration from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. The fee to register is $10.
