CLEARFIELD – Members of the Joint Operating Committee of the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Kephart as CCCTC principal.

Fred Redden, executive director at CCCTC said, “Matt is going to be an amazing addition and shares a similar vision for the overall success of the students at the career center.

“In a time of need for technicians and trades people, Mr. Kephart is going to implement strategies to increase academic rigor, improve student success and help make our students highly employable.

“He brings the academic flare and ability to implement new technology methods into instructional practice and student projects.

“Our primary goal is to make the CCCTC cutting edge and he adds the missing components to reach that goal.”

Kephart comes to the CCCTC from the Moshannon Valley Junior-Senior High School, where he taught social studies and English.

A 2006 graduate of Boston College, he later enrolled at Clarion University for his secondary teaching certification.  He then completed his Master of Education degree from St. Francis University in 2016.

Kephart is looking forward to the opportunity to work with the CCCTC students and staff, saying, “I hope to help foster the continued success and growth of the CCCTC.  The faculty and staff are wonderful, and the opportunities here for students are astounding.”
