CLEARFIELD– The Clearfield Area United Way is helping local residents save on prescription medications with a FamilyWize Prescription Discount Card.
Average savings are 30% off of name brand medication and up to 75% off generic brands. By showing the card at any local pharmacy the savings will automatically be applied to the cost of medication.
The prescription card can help the under-insured, employees who work for businesses that don’t offer insurance, have declined coverage, work part time or are laid off. Individuals & Families who have high deductibles and waiting periods, need medication not covered by their plan, have a co-pay higher than the Familywize discounted price, are on a limited catastrophic plan. Seniors who are in the Medicare Part D “Donut Hole” are not enrolled in part D, are enrolled, but not without a MediGap Plan.
