CLEARFIELD- Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., thanked local Girl Scout Troop #41997 from  Houtzdale for participation in Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Shaw reported that the Girl Scout Troop made blue ribbon pins for the second year in a row to be distributed in the community in support of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Shaw said the blue ribbons were hand made by the Girl Scouts as they work towards their Bronze award.  This award is the highest achievement that Junior Girl Scouts can earn.

Shaw thanked the Girl Scouts for their hard work to spread awareness about child abuse and for their continued support of the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County.
