DUBOIS – This week the Sandy Township Supervisors voted to notify DuBois City officials that the township will not implement an Act 537 plan.
DuBois City Council had previously voted to implement an Act 537 plan at its May 28 meeting. It had also anticipated that the township would follow suit June 4.
According to the supervisors, the township declined to sign an Act 537 plan to avoid complications with its possible sale of the water/sewer system.
The supervisors also voted to remove the proposed water/sewer fee schedule from its agenda until there’s more information on the possible sale of the Sandy Township Municipal Authority.
