PHILIPSBURG – Motorists traveling through the intersection of Routes 322 and 53 near Philipsburg in Decatur Township, Clearfield County, will encounter a flashing red signal at all points of the intersection until Tuesday, June 12, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
The controller cabinet for that traffic signal was damaged in a crash that occurred Tuesday, June 5, and cannot be replaced until early next week.
In addition to the flashing red signal, stop signs have been set up at all four points of the intersection. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and anticipate minor traffic disruptions during peak traffic hours.
Eastbound traffic will likely experience delays during the morning commute and westbound traffic during the evening commute.
Motorists are also asked to remain patient and be courteous to other drivers while this temporary inconvenience is resolved.
