DUBOIS – On Tuesday, members of DuBois City Council were presented with Council Bill 1933, an update to the parking ordinance.

The proposed bill currently forbids:

Parking will be permitted in a driveway, so long as the sidewalk isn’t being blocked.

“A lot of people are correcting things, but there is still a big issue with parking,” said Councilman Jim Aughenbaugh.

Council members resumed their debate with regards to properties, at which previous owners – some from decades ago – constructed driveways that shouldn’t have been permitted.

As a result, the council voted to table discussion until the work session meeting to be held at 4 p.m. July 7.
