State police at DuBois
- State police are investigating the transmission of sexually explicit images that occurred on East Main Street in Mahaffey Borough. On May 5, state police were contacted by Penn Highlands DuBois regarding a juvenile who had intentionally caused harm to herself. Explicit images were allegedly discovered on a phone by her parents. The case was also brought to the attention of Clearfield County Children & Youth Services.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about a civil dispute Saturday on Walnut Street in Rush Township. According to state police, a 25-year-old Philipsburg woman shared an apartment with a male. The male was attempting to move out with the assistance of the victim. The woman tried to prevent them from moving items out and blocked their vehicle. She had also locked them out and was making unreasonable noise outside. Upon arrival, the male and the victim resumed moving items out of the apartment and the woman was advised to cease her conduct. Minutes after clearing the scene, state police were called back. The woman had allegedly spit on the victim and she was still acting disorderly. State police subsequently arrested her for harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of terroristic threats that occurred Friday on state Route 536 in Ringgold Township. During the incident, an 11-year-old male allegedly threatened to bring a gun to school and shoot his teacher on Monday at Mapleview Elementary School. State police conducted multiple interviews as part of their investigation and troopers will be present for student arrival at the school.
- State police received a report about an incident of trespassing that occurred Sunday on Firetower Road in Burnside Township. During the incident, two males were allegedly riding horses and had trespassed on the victim’s property. They fled the area in an unknown direction.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime Friday or Saturday in the 500 block of Marvin Street in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a sentimental wind chime. The wind chime had the words: “If tears could build a staircase to heaven” written on it. It also had a wooden top and hanging pendulum with approximately six chrome bars. State police say it was a gift to the victim from a family member who had passed way; it was stolen along with a hanging flower basket and a Steelers thermometer. Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a retail theft that occurred Sunday at Wal-Mart. During the incident, a Curwensville male allegedly concealed merchandise in his pants and attempted to leave the store without paying. He was also found to be under the influence of alcohol and on adult probation for a previous incident. He was housed in county jail on a violation with charges pending.
- Police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred Sunday on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. A vehicle driven by a Curwensville man was stopped for a stop sign violation in the area of the eastbound on-ramp for state Route 879 from U.S. Route 322. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and released to a sober person. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a firearm that was lost or stolen from a Rocky Bend Road residence. Police say that it was last seen in 2016.
- Police reported that two juvenile males were allegedly found in possession of marijuana May 17 at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School. The school resource officer was contacted and is conducting an investigation. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a fight involving two juveniles May 15 at the CAJSHS. During the incident, a male attempted to take a backpack from a female and allegedly kicked her. He was disciplined by the school.
- Police received a report about a fight involving two juveniles May 15 at the CAJSHS. During the incident, two male juveniles allegedly engaged in a mutual fight. No injuries were reported and both were disciplined by the school.
- Police received a report about a disorderly student Thursday at the CAJSHS. The SRO made contact with and spoke to the student who stopped his actions.
- Police received a report about a theft that occurred May 15 at the CAJSHS. During the incident, a juvenile male allegedly stole a large amount of money from several females. Charges will be filed against the male.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a male and female who were arguing in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police determined it was verbal in nature and that everything was OK.
- Police received a report about a male who was attempting to harm himself in the area of East Weber Avenue. Police were able to help the male and he was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries and an evaluation.
- Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration along Liberty Boulevard. Upon investigation, police allegedly found illegal drugs and paraphernalia. Police are continuing their investigation and charges are currently pending.
- Police received a report about a loud party at an apartment complex on West Long Avenue. Police advised the resident of the complaint; he was warned if the excessive noise continued, he would be cited. No further action was required of police.
- Police received a report about several juveniles who were inside a vacant residence on East Weber Avenue. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate anyone inside or in the area.
