Esther R. Nelson, 84, of DuBois died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
Born Jan. 27, 1934 in Penfield, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Dillullo) Muccio.
On Sept. 21, 1957, she married Robert E. Nelson. He survives.
She worked as a secretary for the United Cerebral Palsy. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and very active in many church affairs.
She enjoyed golfing, swimming and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by two children, Debra Showers and her husband, Steve and David Nelson and his wife, Pam, both of DuBois, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Carpin and four brothers, Angelo, Thomas, John and Anthony Muccio.
There will be a private family visitation. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lakeside United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Kirby officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
