Joshua T. Ireland, 23, of Brookville died unexpectedly Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home.
Born May 9, 1994 in DuBois, he was the son of Thomas P. and Cynthia P. (Smay) Ireland of Curwensville. They survive.
A 2012 graduate of the Curwensville High School, he had attended Waynesburg University and his intent was to continue his education in the fall at Penn State. He also completed his four-year obligation with the Army National Guard.
On Dec. 23, 2017 at Meade Chapel in Knoxdale, he married the former Victoria J. Kniseley. She survives.
He was a member of the New Hope Church in Clarion as well as Trout Unlimited. He was also an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing, especially fly fishing and hunting, and he loved Mustang cars.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a step-son, Maximus A. Chappel of Brookville; a brother, Kris L. (Holly) Ireland of Stoneham, Mass.; his grandparents, Clair and Ruth Ann Ireland of Curwensville and Clyde and Marcia Smay Sr. of Clearfield; a step grandfather, William Stoy of Ashville, Pa.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Peggy Stoy.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, 72 N. Sixth St., Grampian.
A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Pastor Collin Koch and the Rev. Ed Gresick officiating.
The family suggests memorial donation be made to a charity of one’s choice.
