Edith Anne Green, 74, of Parker, P.A., died Monday, April 2, 2018 at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.
Ms. Green was born July 19, 1943 in New Castle, the daughter of James R. Green Sr. and Elizabeth (Glover) Green.
She was a graduate of the Indiana Area Senior High School in the class of 1961.
She was also a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, receiving her Bachelor’s in Education, Master’s in American history, certification in English, BSN and awarded registered nurse in 1977.
Ms. Green retired as a registered nurse, having worked as a Charge Nurse at DuBois Hospital and RN supervisor at Jefferson Manor.
She was Protestant by faith. Ms. Green was a member of the PSEA and NEA.
She is survived by a nephew, Nicholas R. Green of Hamden, Conn., and a friend, Linda Getts of Pittsburgh.
She was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Kathryn (Boston) Green; a brother, Dr. James R. Green Jr.; and several cousins.
Honoring Ms. Green’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be in Castleview Memorial Garden, New Castle.
