Clearfield’s Drama Club Students to Present: The Addams Family

CLEARFIELD – “They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky.  They’re all together ooky, the Addams Family.”

The familiar tune with finger snaps is recognizable to just about everyone.  Now, the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School’s Drama Club is excited to bring this quirky family to the stage.

The Addams Family features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare.  Wednesday Addams (Joanna Switala), the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man, Lucas Beineke (Ryan Lazauskas) from a respectable family – a man his parents have never met.

And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.  Gomez Addams (Aaron Aycock) must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia (Madison Soult).

Everything will change for the whole family, including Pugsley (Remington Shugarts), Grandma (Emmalee Marshall), Uncle Fester (Jace Kephart), Lurch (Spencer Jeffries), Cousin Itt (Thad Butler) and Thing (Dylan Thompson), on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents, Mal and Alice Beineke (Caleb McGee and Brittni Walker).

The Addams Family will be presented at the CAJSHS auditorium on April 12, 13 and 14, beginning each night at 7 p.m.  Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Adult tickets are $8 and students are admitted for $6. All tickets are general admission and available at the door.
