DUBOIS – The young actors at the Reitz Theater will be at it again on a larger scale this year.
This time they are in the “Theatreverse” attending the Super Academy to decide who is a Superhero and who is a Super Villain.
Students (K-12) and young adults, ages 14 – 22 years, are invited to participate in the 2018 Devising Theater Workshops, with the theme being “Super Academy.”
Super Academy will start with a Writing workshop on May 12 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. You can join to help write this summer’s vignettes.
The production workshops will begin on July 9 and conclude Aug. 11 with the following schedule:

Tech Week: (Aug. 7-9) Monday-Wednesday; 6:30 p.m. – 8:30p.m. | Monday-Wednesday; 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. |
Performances will be held on Aug. 9, 10 and 11 at 6:30 p.m.
A production will be created from the ground up with the students at all levels of theatrical ability. Students will learn all types of stagecraft and participate in a “super experience.”
RTP’s Children’s Workshop (grades K-8) returns under the direction of veteran Reitz Theater Player, Andi Kohlhepp. Seasoned theater practitioner, Mary Beth Geppert will lead the Young Adults’ Workshop (ages 14-22).
Registrations are being accepted now on a first come first serve basis up till June 15.
