Peggy B. Swope, 71, of State College and formerly of Falls Creek, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Mrs. Swope was born June 13, 1946 in DuBois, the daughter of Melvin E. and Helen (Dunn) Burkett.
She was a graduate of the DuBois Area High School and Jeff Tech.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a licensed practical nurse for DuBois Hospital and Clear Care.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of DuBois. Mrs. Swope was also a member of the NAPNES and enjoyed reading and music.
She is survived by her sister, Susan J. Bowser and her husband, Ken of Punxsutawney and a number of nieces and nephews, including Kathryn and Dallas Bowser.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph S. Swope, to whom she was married Sept. 29, 1973.
Honoring Mrs. Swope’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
