CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Rotarians are congratulating local students who participated in this year’s Four-Way Speech Contest.
“The speeches were fantastic, and it sure looked like the audience was enjoying their evening,” said Rotarian Joe White.
“Clearfield’s finest and brightest were engaged in some very tough competition.”
First Place went to Jeremiah Vezza, who spoke about “volunteering” and second place went to Remington Shugarts, who spoke about “Threats at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School after the recent shootings in Florida.”
Finally, third place went to Elliot Thorp, who spoke about “Why Not to Award Participation Awards.”
Rotary meets Wednesdays at 12 p.m. at Moena Restaurant in downtown Clearfield. Interested persons are invited to attend a meeting.
