BREAKING: Victim Identified in Madera Homicide

MADERA – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has identified the victim in the homicide that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Madera.

He identified the victim as Joshua Allen Sahm, 30, of Blandburg, Cambria County.

According to Shaw, Clearfield-based state police received a report about a male who had suffered an injury at a Main Street apartment in Madera.

Upon arrival at the scene, troopers were advised that Sahm had been stabbed and was being transported by ambulance to the Altoona Hospital.

Troopers observed a large amount of blood inside the apartment. Sahm died while he was en route to the hospital, Shaw said.

Shaw indicated that a male suspect has been incarcerated on a probation detainer at the Clearfield County Jail. He anticipates criminal charges will be filed in the immediate future.

The victim’s body has been taken for an autopsy, which Shaw said is “currently in progress and we are awaiting results from the pathologist.”

Additional information will be released when criminal charges are filed in the case.
