Nancy A. Vaughn, 85, of Curwensville died Friday, March 9, 2018 at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
Born March 27, 1932 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of Obidia “Obie” and Erma (Askey) Lippert.
She was a beautician. She owned and operated Nancy’s Beauty Shop for more than 30 years.
She also enjoyed crafts and ceramics. She won numerous awards at the Clearfield County Fair for her work.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Vaughn and his wife, Linda of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Vaughn of Curwensville; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters, James Lippert and his wife, Cindy of Connecticut, David Lippert and his wife, Mona of McConnellsburg, Pa., and Donna Sunderland and her husband, Ted of Curwensville.
On Nov. 5, 1949 in Curwensville, she wed Arlen D. “Tud” Vaughn, who preceded her in death March 25, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Rick Vaughn.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. Stephen Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
