Dorothy K. Bailey, 79, of Clearfield died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Mrs. Bailey was born Nov. 29, 1938, the daughter of Eva (Hudson) Sheffield.
She was a homemaker and worked at the Clearfield Wal-Mart.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the West Side Church of Christ of Clearfield.
She enjoyed her church functions, playing bingo and watching Jeopardy.
She is survived by a son, Denny S. Bailey and his companion, Candace Butler and his two sons, Justin and Jasper Bailey and a daughter, Dawn J. Bailey-Powell and her husband, Christopher and their daughter, Nicole Powell, all of Clearfield; a great-granddaughter, Eva Dawn McBride; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, David A. Bailey; an infant son, David Walter Bailey; four sisters, Harriet Hurley, Mildred Miller, Freda Moriarity and Blanche Lippart; and a brother, Harold A. Sheffield.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Minister Isaiah Krause officiating.
Burial will be in Bloomington Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
