CLEARFIELD – A local 18-year-old has been accused of sending inappropriate videos to juveniles on Snapchat.
Michael Joseph Biancuzzo of Houtzdale has been charged by the Pennsylvania State Police with five counts each of dissemination of explicit sex material to minor, F3, and corruption of minors, M1.
Biancuzzo waived his right to a preliminary hearing during centralized court Wednesday. His bail was set at $10,000 unsecured.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 12, 2017, state police were assigned to investigate a possible sexual offense by Biancuzzo against a female juvenile at his high school after a report was made to Clearfield County Children & Youth Services.
State police contacted the victim for the purpose of an interview. She, along with four other girls, had allegedly received an inappropriate video from Biancuzzo via Snapchat.
It was unknown if Biancuzzo was the male in the video. However, the victim assumed it was. She had received the video a day or two before Thanksgiving in 2017, state police said.
The victim said she knew it was from Biancuzzo because it originated from his account. She said he asked her if she wanted to see it and she told him no, but he sent it to her anyway.
State police were provided with the identities and contact information for the other four victims. Three received the same video and corroborated the first victim’s story.
The last victim said she received an inappropriate video from Biancuzzo, but it was different. She received it the week prior to Thanksgiving from him via Snapchat.
When state police interviewed Biancuzzo, he confessed to sending inappropriate videos to the victims.
