Richard C. Bennett, 75, of Irvona died Feb. 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Clearfield, the son of Harvey and Ruth (Meckley) Bennett.
Mr. Bennett was a member of the Susquehanna Rod and Gun Club. He worked as a rock truck driver for Sky Haven Coal Co.
Surviving are his daughter, Kris Canfield and her husband, John of Curwensville and sons, Richard Bennett and his wife, Carrie and James Bennett and his wife, Gloria, all of Curwensville, and William Bennett and his wife, Jennifer of McCartney.
Also surviving are his brother, Raymond Bennett of Grampian and 11 grandchildren.
Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Louise (Hutton) Bennett; father, Harvey Bennett; mother, Ruth (Meckley) Bennett; and two infant sisters.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona, with the Rev. Gust Madera officiating. Burial will follow in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, New Millport.
