State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday on Sunset Lane in Curwensville Borough. During a domestic incident, a male suspect allegedly attempted to assault the female victim. State police say he also threatened to assault her. Charges will be filed through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a vehicle accident at the entrance to Wal-Mart on Thursday. According to police, a driver went over the median and struck a steel shelter box. It caused damage to the underside of the vehicle, disabling it. Both occupants were taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police responded to an automatic burglary alarm Thursday at Good Tire Service. Upon arrival, police found the building was secured. It’s believed heavy wind and rain set off the alarm.
- On Wednesday police received a report about a possible incident of child abuse/pornography at Wal-Mart. A young child was allegedly depicted in photos with their upper body exposed. No further information is available with the incident still under investigation.
- Police received a report about a retail theft/assault incident that occurred Feb. 12 at Rural King. During the incident, a 29-year-old man entered the store and was suspected of being involved in a retail theft. He allegedly assaulted a female employee when she attempted to stop him and obtain his vehicle registration. Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
- Police received a report about a possible identity theft that occurred Feb. 12 on Mount Joy Road, Clearfield. According to police, a resident provided information about receiving bills from Comcast for an account he didn’t open. It appears the account was opened in Reading, Pa.; the incident remains under investigation.
- Police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between Jan. 8 and Jan. 12 at Sheetz and Wal-Mart. The victim told police there were unauthorized charges with her VISA bank card between the aforementioned dates.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle in the 400 block of Beaver Drive. It was blocking the westbound lane near the bridge. Police say its owner arrived with gas and fueled the vehicle. Then, they left the scene.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident near Orient Avenue and Division Street. Upon arrival, both drivers had exchanged information. Police determined it was a non-reportable accident.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday police received a report about a false alarm at Advanced Computer.
- On Wednesday a 20-year-old Sykesville man reported that his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend was yelling obscenities at him in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
- On Thursday police received a report about a false alarm at the JC Penney store.
- On Thursday a 62-year-old Hanes Drive woman reported that her 55-year-old live-in boyfriend was harassing her by calling her names. Officers handled the situation without incident.
