CNB Announces Promotion of Chimera to Assistant Controller

CLEARFIELD – Michael Chimera has been promoted to assistant controller for CNB Financial Corp. and its affiliated companies, announced Joseph B. Bower Jr., CNB Bank president and chief executive officer.

In his new role, Chimera will function as a bank officer, and he will be responsible for internal and external financial reporting for CNB Financial Corp., which includes 43 branch offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. Chimera will also supervise members of the Finance and Item Processing departments.

“Michael has been an asset from the day he started with the Bank,” Bower said. “He continually expands his knowledge and seizes any opportunity to learn and grow. I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in this new role.”

Chimera started his career as a Universal Associate at CNB’s ERIEBANK, a division of division of CNB Bank, in 2011 and has since graduated from the Management Training Program.

After graduation, he received the position of staff accountant and was later promoted to accounting manager. Chimera has also been chosen to participate in the CNB Leadership Institute for the class of 2019, a formalized training curriculum to develop future leadership.

A native of Erie, Chimera graduated from General McLane High School in Edinboro. He later attended the Pennsylvania State University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in both accounting and finance.

Chimera is an active volunteer at Camp Notre Dame, a non-profit summer camp, located in Fairview, Pa. It’s a Catholic/Christian Mission that serves families off all faiths.
