Richard C. Travers, 62, DuBois died Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at his home.
Born March 9, 1955 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Steven N. and Caroline “Jo Anne” (Braden) Travers Jr.
He was the owner and operator of DuBois Taxi Service.
He was well-known in the area as a sprint car racer. He had a heart to match his size and was exceptionally generous. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his brother, Stephen N. Travers III and three nephews, Jordan Travers of Portland, Ore., Jake Travers of Tallahassee, Fla., and Spencer Travers of Caldwell, NJ.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. A private funeral service will be held.
