Obituary Notice: Milford W. Bowman

Milford Walter Bowman, 86, of Curwensville died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born July 25, 1931, he was the son of Walter Wayne and Twila Faye (Dodge) Bowman.

Mr. Bowman had worked for the former Robison Clay Products. He had also worked for the Curwensville Municipal Authority and was retired from Lezzer Lumber Co. in Curwensville.

He was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Korean War. He loved to garden.

On April 25, 1952, he wed the former Jeannine Ann Smith, who survives along with four children, Autumn Howell and her husband, Doug, Holly Bowman and Ashley Bowman, all of Curwensville, and Rhett Bowman of New Millport.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Betty Lou Noter and her husband, Ronald of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Willmer Allen Bowman and Theodore Jonathon “Ted” Bowman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.

Friends will be received from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
