George T. O’Neill Jr., 66, of Clearfield and formerly of Philipsburg, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at Knickerbocker Villa, Clearfield.
Born Sept. 16, 1951, he was a son of George T. O’Neill Sr. and Grace M. (Moore) O’Neill.
He was a 1969 graduate of Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School and a 1974 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy.
He was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg.
He was employed throughout his professional career as a registered pharmacist with a number of pharmacies in the Clearfield, Philipsburg and Houtzdale areas.
He was very dedicated to his profession and was highly regarded by those he had the opportunity to serve during his career.
He was married June 8, 1973, at the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg, to the former Joan Snyder, who survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Olivia Picard and her husband, Daniel of Front Royal, Va.; a son, Bradley O’Neill of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; two grandsons, Jaddah O’Neill and Colton Picard; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Kinney, in addition to his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. John Gibbons officiating.
Burial will be in the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, (Tyrone Pike) RD Philipsburg.
