CLEARFIELD – On Tuesday the Clearfield County Commissioners passed a resolution to provide its local funding match to the Area Transportation Authority.
In 2018-19, the county will make quarterly payments to the ATA in the amount of $36,061.25, totaling $144,245 for the fiscal year, according to Commissioner John A. Sobel, chairman.
Sobel thanked his fellow Commissioner Mark B. McCracken for “clearly” and “strictly” reviewing this matter on behalf of Clearfield County.
The commissioners also received notice that Dick Castonguay’s term had expired on the ATA’s board of directors. He was subsequently re-appointed to the board.
In other business, the commissioners announced a vacancy on the county’s library board. Letters of interest will be accepted through 10 a.m. Feb. 13.
