Beverly Jean Gallaher, 83, of Morrisdale went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born Feb. 20, 1934 in Wallaceton, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Bessie Hummel Quick.
She is survived by her children, Frank Nudge and his wife, Kimberlea of York, Rick Nudge and his wife, Kathy, Eugene Gallaher and his companion, Lori and Naomi Nudge, all of Morrisdale, Kathy Ibberson and her companion, John of Philipsburg, Deb Howe and her husband, Darrell of Roanoke, Va., Wesley Johnson and his wife, Hedi of Ohio and Janet Gallaher Witmer and her husband, Rick of Centre Hall; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her generation. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Gabriel Dorsey Gallaher; sisters, Dorothy Keifer, Violet Knepp, Margaret Merrow, Charlotte Christoff, Lois Knepp and Naomi Wills; and brothers, Clifford Quick, Thomas Quick, Edward Quick and infant Robert Wesley Quick.
She was a member of the former Wallaceton United Methodist Church, Wallaceton, where she had been a lay leader.
The love of her life was her children and her faith. She was a very strong person who was always helping others. She had been a cook in different restaurants for years and she loved to do crafts and go camping.
She was a living angel here on earth but will now be our angel watching over us from heaven.
Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Strange & Weaver Funeral Service with the Rev. Brian Vineyard officiating. Burial will be in Summit Hill United Methodist Cemetery, Morrisdale.
