James William “Brady Bill” Clark, 92, a resident of Laurel Brooke Landing Personal Care Residence in Brookville, and formerly of Colorado and Grampian, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at Laurel Brooke Landing.

Born Feb. 22, 1925 Grampian, he was the son of Joseph William and Mary Jane (Rafferty) Clark.

Mr. Clark was retired as a mason after having spent the majority of his working career in Colorado.

He was a member of the St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church where as a young boy served on the altar.

He had served with the U.S. Army during World War II and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially going to camp.

On Nov. 20, 1958 at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Ravenna, Ohio, he wed the former Irene Rose Cartwright, who preceded him in death July 7, 2007.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Ann Heidt, Margaret Schurr, Kathryn Diehl and Ethel Wood.  He was the last member of his generation.

Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church in Grampian, with the Rev. Father L. Stephen Collins as celebrant.

Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville and again from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday, at which time the procession will depart for the church.

The Rosary will be recited by members of the St. Theresa’s Guild at 1:45 p.m. A Scripture Vigil will be conducted by Deacon Tony Indelicato at 4:30 p.m. Both will be Sunday at the funeral home.

The family suggests contributions be made to the St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church, 306 Walnut St., Curwensville, PA 16833.
