Frank Walk Jr., 81, of Mineral Springs died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at his home.
Born July 15, 1936 in Bald Eagle, he was the son of the late Frank Walk Sr. and Catherine (Dixon) Walk.
He married Shirley J. Walk on Feb. 19, 1955. She preceded him in death March 18, 2004.
He was a member of the Spring Valley United Methodist Church. He was a retired coal miner for Lady Jane Collaries in Penfield.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers and one infant great-grandchild.
He is survived by five daughters, Cynthia Evans and her husband, Russel of Munson, Lorri Gearhart and her husband, Thomas and Denise Condon and her husband, Bart, all of Mineral Springs, Debra Shaw of Philipsburg and Darlene Beveridge and her husband, Douglas of Osceola Mills and three sons, Frank W. Walk and his wife, Darla of Clearfield and Daniel Walk and his wife, Carol and Douglas C. Walk and his wife, Toby, all of Mineral Springs.
He’s also survived by three sisters, Marie Zurick of Baltimore Md., and Carol Knepp and Burnadine Williams, both of Osceola Mills; one brother, Ardell Walk and his wife, Shirley of West Decatur; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC in Osceola Mills with Pastor Sue Radal officiating. Burial will be at the Spring Valley Cemetery in West Decatur.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
