Julia M. Perry, 99, of DuBois and formerly of Reynoldsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
Born Nov. 30, 1918 in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Severia (Chirani) Canton.
On Oct. 23, 1943, she married Frank J. Perry. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1987.
She was a past member of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Reynoldsville.
She was a homemaker and above all she loved her family. She enjoyed her gambling trips with them to Atlantic City and spent each winter for 30 years with her daughter in Florida.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing the guitar and was part of a musical duo in Adrian, Pa.
She is survived by two children, Frank J. Perry and his wife, Mary Ellen of Louisville, Ky., and Beverly Schoening and her husband, William of DuBois; three grandchildren, Brooke Schwartz, Thad Endress and Jeff Perry; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the Christ the King Manor Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Christ the King Manor Chapel with Fr. Matias Quimno as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Reynoldsville.
